After spending a year and a half majoring in architecture, I have come to a conclusion that there is only one major thing I have in common with it.
An architecture student overthinks everything. They pay too much attention to each and every details, every twists and turns and corners and lines and shapes must have their own meaning. Even though they are filled with concepts and philosophies, most teacher will just take a quick glance at our work with no interest whatsoever and without even bothered to ask anything (and yet they were the ones who told us to put a lot of thinking into our design). And even if they asked, it is only so that they can 'criticize' (or in other words completely degrading the way you think and forcing you to think the way they do) your work with absolute subjectivity, relentlessly.
And I guess that is life. You spent it away by overthinking and overanalysing every single thing in order to please somebody else while other people are too busy not giving a fuck about you. When people do bother asking you what's wrong, they're probably just curious or just want to shut you up and judge you from their own perspective.
How does one become so full of negativishizzle?
